What is responsibility? Having responsibility is the obligation to act. While taking responsibility is accepting the choices you have made, the actions you have taken, and the results they may led to. When you fail to accept personal responsibility from your actions there are a series of events that follow over time.
Not taking responsibility may be less demanding, less painful and mean less time spent in the unknown. When you don’t take responsibility for your life you give away your personal power. And that’s where we start blaming others, to escape punishment but also to preserve our own self-esteem and self-image. Did you know blaming prevents us from learning? You should take the blame from anything you’re responsible for because this will transform negative consequences into positive ones. One should recast responsibility as a way to learn from our mistakes as well as those of others. We should accept our fallibility as a route toward self-improvement.
And that’s why I have Ryan Michler to share with us the techniques how to take the power to make a change and how to become more effective as a person. We will also discuss more about the benefits we can learn from our mistakes. We will dig deep into this episode with him as he shares about:
- What does it mean to be a man?
- How to avoid responsibility trap.
- How to use your emotional Intelligence.
- How to eliminate excuse and start taking ownership.
- Importance of Daily Planning and After Action Review.
